StormCroft Cipher

In April 1876, a sealed leather-bound manuscript was deposited into the Langport Weighhouse Archive by an unnamed StormCroft affiliate. It was wrapped in muslin, marked only with the sigil “M.H.”, and accompanied by a set of coded instructions now known as The Somerset Key.

What follows is a faithful reconstruction of the Somerset Key engine — built using fragmentary diagrams, annotations from Elias Horne, and a meticulous decoding of patterns that mimic old train timetables and signal interruptions.
